We are happy to promote our culture, language and identity globally. That is why we say, The Manipur Journal is for global identity. We need to preserve our past for a great future. The Manipur Journal is one of the many selfless dedication done by the courageous people from the North East India to unite the region.
We venture out to mark a powerful presence in the current global media industry. Our missions are to preserve the culture, to globalise our identity and to unite the community. It is a platform for every group that needs global recognition. We are here to promote everyone in an unbiased and multiperspectival approach.
Culture and tradition is the essence of any society's identity and it is also important to develop a peaceful community spirit. It is through the evolution of culture that our society is distinctiveness emerging through ages.
Clearly our identity is under threat as we see our ideologies, customs and traditions give way to the media influences of our mixed cultures. The preservation of our unique identity has become a challenge rather than something we can take for granted. We need a media to preserve, globalise and promote ourselves. TMJ is for the indigenous and scattered communities of Northeast region of India like Ao, Anal, Aimol, Angami, Ahom, Bodo, Chakma, Bishnupriya, Chiru, Dimasha, Hmar, Kom, Karbi, Kabui, Khasi, Konyak, Garo, Lushai, Jaintia, Mao, Mising, Matak, Apatani, Mizo, Poumai, Pangal, Sema, Tangkhul, Thangal etc that have been neglected by the mainstream media for decades. We believe in the globalization of our culture, tradition and languages.
Let the world know our unity that represents a large community bordering China, Myanmar and other South Asian countries. It is time we search for our brothers and sisters and beloved people whom we have lost due to barriers created by communal forces. Despite the diversity of our community, we share common problems and issues. We are genuinely concerned of the fact that the cultures of indigenous people are being lost and they suffer both discrimination and pressure to assimilate into their surrounding societies.
The Manipur Journal will be available in the USA, the UK, Australia, Japan, China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Dubai and in those regions, working for the preservation of their identity and culture.
Our motto is "Unity for Global Identity".
